Grumpy Girl offers amusing apparel and accessories for everyone from women to babies. Their trademark Grumpy Girl apparel showcases the cantankerous young woman expressing her deep thoughts and sass.

It’s time to post about more lovely scarves I’ve come across. This time these scarves are from Peep Accessories for Chicks. Peep, started by sisters Sally and Jane offers handmade bags and limited-edition accessories. Each item is uniquely designed and constructed with great attention to detail and sturdy enough for everyday wear. Along with their mother and partner Sandra, Peep features handbags, scarves, jewelry, IPOD cozies, etc … Another plus for buying a Peep product is their generosity. Peep uses 5% of their sales to purchase yarn in order for them to make accessories for Family & Children’s Services of Monmouth County, New Jersey. This organization provides services and counseling for families that are having a hard time.

Peep’s scarves come in an assortment of styles and colors. My favorites are the Yum scarf [shown above] and the Attic Closet. The Yum scarf is made out of a velvety pink wool blend and pulls through to securely stay around your neck. There is also a white cupcake with pink icing appliqué, with beaded “jimmies” accents.

The Attic Closet is a soft furry faux mink colored stole with a snap closure and vintage button emphasis. You can wear this mink colored stole either in the front for a stylish look or on the side for a sassy feel.

Take a trip to Peep to see more of their unique handmade designs.

Shy Siren

Belts are really coming back into play this season. It’s too bad that my blossoming belly doesn’t accommodate for belts in my wardrobe, but I might just have to stock up on these belts from Shy Siren. I especially love the fabric belt, Dahlias in Sky Blue on Chocolate. The belts are 1 ½” wide and lined with interfacing so that it doesn’t lose its shape. You have your choice of belt buckles, silver toned D-ring, clear acrylic, metallic-like acrylic tortoise, or natural wood.

I also adore these fabric belts with wood buckles. Vibrant colors go beautifully with these wooden buckles.

Shy Siren’s founders Anita Lin and Sara Schwittek design and handcraft each item. All items have their own unique one-of-a-kind awareness. Visit Shy Siren to see their equally impressive jewelry and handbag collection.

Jackie Hat

When winter approaches I tend to get lazy when it comes to styling my hair. I mean what’s the point? It’s either going to rain and my hair will get wet, or there will be windy and I’ll have the windblown look, which went out of style in the 70’s. This is why it’s the season of hats for me. I tend to go with baseball caps because I couldn’t bother with trying to be stylish, especially when chasing after a toddler, but after seeing the wool hats from Cutiegirl, I’m having a change of heart. Cutiegirl’s wool hats are hand crocheted with creativity and style. Now I can look fashionable while keeping my hair under wraps at the same time. How exciting.

The Jackie hat above is a fitted hat in natural brown, adorned with a magenta and orange mohair flowerbuds. This lovely hat is made of a wool blend and oozes chic.

I also adore the Gwen wool hat. This skull cap in charcoal is emphasized with a red leather heart stitched with white cotton. Oh so modish!

Visit Curliegirl to see the matching hats and more of their fashionable handmade collection of scarves, hats, and bags.

Trixie and Peanut

Ah the rain is here. It’s time to get those raincoats for our furry friends. One of my dogs despises the rain with a passion. I’m not sure if the raincoat will help her fears or not, but they’ll both look so adorable with these raincoats from Trixie & Peanut. The Gridline Raincoat is an vital accessory for our canine friends. It’s lightweight and water resistant. It even comes with a hood with elastic trim to protect their precious heads.

Here’s a camo raincoat for some extra pizzazz. This raincoat is water-resistant with a quilted lining. The raincoat comes in posh pink, bold blue and classic olive.

To repel rain, sleet and snow with fashionable flair, pick up a Carnaby Rain Slicker. This stylish red rain slicker has chic plaid piping and bone-shaped buttons.

For our bigger breed friends and my rottweiler, here’s a hydro tech raincoat. The sleek Hydro Tech raincoat designed specially for bigger breeds is built out of an innovative hydro-tech fabric, making it waterproof, windproof, and breathable. It comes in yellow, red, blue and black.

Visit Trixie and Peanut to see more smart and stylish apparel and accessories.

Catch Your Zzzzz's

I always try to catch some shuteye when traveling, especially on a plane. But I’m forever worried that I’ll be woken up by an unassuming flight attendant asking me if I want something to drink or if I want a pillow. This is why I’m a fan of the Eyemask set by Flight 001. This set includes 3 eye masks imprinted with different messages such as “Do Not Disturb”, “Wake me for Duty Free”, and “Wake me for (food and drink)”. They are fashioned with adjustable straps for comfort and packaged in a cotton zip pouch for easy packing. Check out Flight 001 for more marvelous travel accessories.

Crystalyn Kae

Another addiction of mine is handbags. I enjoy looking at handbag collections that feature distinctive designs and shapes. This holds true for Crystalyn Kae and her handbag anthology. Her bags come in a variety of styles such as the hobo bags, tote bags, fabric bags, and shoulder bags. One of my favorites is the hobo bag with the sash styling in the samba medium size. There is an inner zip pocket and separate compartments. The strap can be lengthen to drape across your chest.

There is also the bucket tote fashion. It’s an exceptional embellished tote with a floral or motif appliqué. The tote is fashioned with powerful stitching. It would be idyllic to use for your yoga gear, business papers, etc …
